Following every planetarium show, there will be a discussion on the annual movements of the Sun in the sky, its observations for thousands of years and precession of the Equinoxes. Arguments against Astrology will also be discussed.
These will be followed with crude Declination measurements of the Sun, for the day, using a model of the Misra Yantra.
Information on the actual usage of the Misra Yantra at the Jantar Mantar Observatory, Delhi, for reasonably accurate meaurement of the Declination of the Sun, that so beautifully demarcates the annual Uttarayan and Dakshinayan movements of the Sun, will be provided for all the visitors.
