• Venus Elongation measurements using the Ram Yantra and the Jai Prakas of the Jantar Mantar Observatory, Delhi

During March 2004, we were trying out various simple methos of observing the elongation of Venus, as a part of educational activities related to the Transit of Venus.

It seemed to us, that a measurement of the maximum elongation of Venus using the Jantar Mantar positional astronomy instruments, by inerested students, would be very thrilling.
