Khagol Mela 2009

1. Yeh Taara, Woh Taara : A handful of stars : A new Planetarium program on concerns related to Light Pollution. The program was made available to school groups on demand, during the Children's Fortnight.
2. Documentaries on Galileo and Chandrasekhar were screened for small groups in the planetarium conference room, during the fortnight.
3. Sun projection, Constellation Making, Matka Planetarium, Moon Phases, Pinhole camera usage and other Astronomy activities.
4. A Khagol Mela at the National Book Trust : from 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM on the 19th of November.
5. Exhibition on Art and Astronomy, and a related activity centre : from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM on all days of the fortnight.
6. Galileoscope Nights : Volunteers could come to your school and conduct a night sky watch for your school children, to view the Moon, Jupiter and some deep sky objects through telescopes, provided your school undertakes to gather together an inclusive group for the skywatch – mail to nehruplanetarium@gmail.com or call 23014504/23012994 for details.
