Following our first time activities and observations for the general visitors to the Jantar Mantar Obseravtory, Delhi, on the 29th of March 2004, there have been several occasions when we have conducted awareness activities and public observations with the Jantar Mantar instruments of the Delhi Observatory, notwithstanding that the markings on most of the instruments are currently missing.
We just measure the whole dimensions of the instrument and measure the shadow positions using tape measure and come up with useful observations and this has been found to be a very useful excercise judging from the public response during some of these events at the Jantar Mantar.
Here are the press reports on activities conducted from 2004 - to-date Press Reports Related to the Jantar Mantar Activities?
What exactly was done during these activities, what did we learn from these and what was the public response? All of this will be written down and placed here. The page is yet under construction.
