Autumn Equinox Day at the Jantar MantarAutumn Equinox will be celebrated on the 23rd of September 2010, through user-friendly observations of the Sun using the Jantar Mantar Observatory instruments.  All interested can participate in these observations and see for themselves the accuracies in astronomical measurements possible with these masonary instruments. Schedule of the activities Sunrise to sunset Tracing of the celestial equator inside the Jayprakas Yantra of the Jantar Mantar Observatory, by marking the movement of the shadow of the Sun on the Equinox day. 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM Observational activities with all the instruments of the Jantar Mantar observatory and help provided to the visitors to conduct observations with the instruments and verify their results. |
