AudioScript-HorizontalCircularDialThis is a gigantic circular dial inscribed on a leveled horizontal platform. The Horizontal Dial was, perhaps, used for laying out the segments of the Samrat Yantra Quadrant, with their appropriate divisions, before transferring the segments to their intended location on the Samrat Yantra Quadrant. The circular scale is marked only in the North Eastern and the South Western quadrants. Because of its large dimensions (about 30 m in diameter) the circular scales have a least count of 30” of arc. A quadrant of the Horizontal dial is divided into as many of the smallest sub divisions, as the quadrant of the Samrat Yantra. |
