About My Self

Hello, friends, I am Anurag Garg, working as an Educator at Nehru Planetairum, Delhi. Since childhood I've been astro person. I am not that conventional amateur astronomer who would spent nights and nights in taking images through his DSLR and big GPS telescope but rather I always trusted my eyes or I should say I have prefered my eyes over the instrumetns. I just love spending nights after night alone with stars.

I found this a very interesting idea to quntify the night time light pollution in cities through out the India and may be also for whole of the world. Although, I am still getting confused with areas defined in this system with the conventioanl constellation figures. So, once I get use to this I will try to contribute little more with the data for different nights and places

Few of my first data points taken in last couple of nights are given here. I hope everyone finds it useful.

Although, because of the large constructions nearby, I only have excess to a very small part in sky near zenith. This means I can only do very limited range of areas available to me. On the bases of those limited observations it seams like limiting magnitude for my location is 4.41

wish you clear skies
